I, on behalf of Family Planning Association (FPAN), would like to express my deepest thanks to the Japanese Embassy and in particular to Your Excellency for this donation to FPAN. Generous gifts from donors like you, provide the financial and moral support needed to continue our mission which is “Champion a volunteer movement, to increase Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, to all, as many folds as possible, especially to those most at risk, marginalized, and under-served” people of Nepal. (FPAN), is a member association of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), is a major partner of the Government of Nepal’s national family planning program, is contributing larger number of all FP services in Nepal annually, and is the Nepal’s first national sexual and reproductive health service delivery and advocacy organization. FPAN is working across 37 districts to provide critical health services to poor, marginalized and socially excluded. FPAN is a high performing, accountable and united Association from its branches Offices to Central Office for the last six decades as technically guided by the IPPF. FPAN also remains a consistent development partner of Japanese organizations such as JOICFP, JICA and JTF in many fields, from long ago.
FPAN programs were expanded from three districts in the 1960s to 15 districts in the 1970s and 34 districts in 2009 if we check of our glorious history. FPAN currently has presence at 28 Districts’ Branches, with 56 clinics and 1232 service delivery outlets. We have served Nepalese population with dedication, care and responsibility. Currently, we compliment and supplement to Ministry of Health, Government of Nepal, in various service delivery related to sexual and reproductive health and rights to the extent of 28% of the total national achievement. On yearly basis, FPAN has been serving 4 million (forty lakh) people to meet their SRHR service needs by mobilizing 15 thousand volunteers, 10,000 trained youths and about 1000 trained staff. We want to continue our services with more aggression, enthusiasm and engagement to serve people who are in dire needs.

It is our hope that this small gift under GGP assistance from the Japanese Embassy for the Construction of FPAN’s Childbirth Center in Dang District will help to communicate our very big thanks for your generosity and serves needy mothers and many more to save their lives. We look forward to a continuing partnership with you to realize our mission in days and years ahead to serve the underprivileged populous of the country.
