FPAN has recently organized "Project Induction meeting" of Advancing SRHR of Persons with Disability (PwD) on 6 September 2019. Disabled Persons' Organizations (DPOs) like National Disable Women Association (NDWA), Blind Youth Association Nepal (BYAN), Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) and Action on Disability Rights and Development-Nepal (ADRAD-Nepal), National Deaf Federation of Nepal (NDFN), Nepal Association of the Blind (NAB), Mother's Society of Intellectual Disabilities, Lalitpur (MSID), National Federation of Disable Nepal (NFDN) and Autism Care Nepal Society (ACNS) have actively participate in the training.

The major objectives of the meeting was to share the situation of SRHR of PwD currently initiating by DPOs and find out SRHR gap of PwD, to share about the project – “Advancing SRHR of Persons with Disability project” in brief, to discuss on the approaches, modalities and strategies for the effective implementation of project and to discuss on how to build and strengthen coordination and partnership with likeminded organizations including DPOs for effective advocacy and increase access to SRH services for PwD.

Meeting was organized by FPAN at Indreni Food Land Pvt. Ltd. Indreni Complex, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu which started in aforementioned time. This meeting was chaired by Ms. Kabita Aryal-FPRH Section Chief of Family Welfare Division (FWD), Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in presence of Dr. Khageshwor Gelal Chief of District Health Office (DHO) Lalitpur, Mr. Ram Krishna Phuyal-Family Planning Officer-DPHO Kathmandu, Mr. Mitra Lal Sharma- President, National Federation of Disable Nepal (NFDN) Central Office, Kathmandu, Mr. KP Bist Director General-FPAN and Subash Chandra Shrestha Program Director-FPAN. During the meeting major achievement of National Scenario of PwD in Nepal, SRHR Situation of persons with disability in Nepal and Project Introduction, Operation Modality, output wise activities, Role and responsibilities and Theory of Change of "Improving SRHR of Persons with Disability in Nepal was shared by Program Director of FPAN. After sharing the project modality discussion floor was open. PWD participants were addressed by the FWD Section Chief, FPAN's Director General as well as Kathmandu and DPHO Chief of Lalitpur regarding the answers to various questions and queries posed by PwD for the SRHR Improvement of PwD community. Meeting was hosted by Anil Kumar Basnet, Program Coordinator of FPAN.
